At GhostCfg, accessible from our main website, your privacy is extremely important to us. This Privacy Policy document outlines the types of information that is collected and recorded by GhostCfg and how we use it.

1. Information We Collect

We believe in data minimalism. When you use GhostCfg, we only process:

• Hardware Specifications: The technical data (CPU, GPU, RAM, monitor specs) you voluntarily input into our optimization tool solely to generate your custom configuration files.
• Transaction Data: Payment details processed securely via our third-party payment gateways (we never store your full credit card information on our servers).
• Email Address: Collected at checkout and used strictly to send you the link that unlocks your purchase, and to answer you if you ask for support. We do not send marketing email and we do not sell or share your address.

To send that email we use Resend (Resend Inc.) as a processor, and Stripe to take payment. Each receives only what it needs to do its job: Resend receives your email address and the message, Stripe receives your payment details. Your hardware specifications are never sent to either, because they never leave your browser.

2. What We Do NOT Collect

GhostCfg does not:

• Access, read, scan, or store your personal documents or local files.
• Monitor your background browsing activity or personal applications.
• Modify Windows core registries or install persistent background tracking software.

3. How We Use Your Information

The minimal data we collect is used exclusively for:

• Generating and delivering your custom engine optimization files (.cfg).
• Sending you a link that re-unlocks your purchase on any device, so a cleared browser does not cost you what you paid for.
• Processing your one-time plan purchases securely.
• Improving our heuristic AI algorithms to better support popular game engines.

4. Cookies and Local Storage

GhostCfg sets no advertising cookies and runs no analytics script. There is no Meta pixel, no TikTok pixel and no Google Analytics tag on this site. What the site does keep is stored in your own browser, not on our servers, and it is limited to the following:

• Your unlock token - so a paid download stays unlocked when you come back to the page.
• Your saved hardware specifications - so the optimizer does not ask you twice.
• Your animation preference - the on/off switch in the footer.
• Your cookie choice - so the banner does not ask again on every page.

Those four are what makes the site function; switching them off would break your download, which is why they are not optional. They are never used to profile you and they are never read by anyone but your own browser.

The banner also asks separately about optional analytics and advertising cookies. We may want them later to see which advertisement brought someone here. Nothing of that kind is running today, and if you reject them, nothing is loaded, now or later. You can change your answer at any time with the Cookie choices link in the footer of any page. Rejecting costs you nothing - every part of the site works the same either way.

5. Data Security

We implement robust security measures to protect your information during transmission and storage. Your files and optimization profiles are handled securely and are never sold, rented, or shared with third-party advertising networks.
